What Customers Say About Live:

Foghat is a boogie blues rockin band and this was the band in their element and at their purest form. This features great live versions of their big hits of the day like the eternal 'slow ride' , and 'fool for the city" and is a must have for fans of slammin hard rock done right. The only way this hard rockin live cd could get any better is if they added more tracks. It should have been a double album even back when it was released. These guys were a tight group back then and even today they really put on a great show. The music was fun and slammin and just gets your head banging along to these excellent musicians thumping drive.

6 live tracks are all that's on this release. this jams. in the old days songs live always were longer than their studio counterparts.extended solos, extended jams, just great live rock.

i discovered this group a long time ago and i liked it when i heard it on an album and then got it on casette. but then i got a cd player for my vehicle so i finally decided i needed it to listen to in my vehicle.

THE Summer Album.Rock in the 70's were about open air festivals, beach balls, bikinis, beer, sunshine, bbq.

I can't recommend it enough, especially if you're just now discovering these guys. Foghat excelled as a live band, and each of the songs presented here ecipse their studio counterparts.

It's been over 30 years since this record first hit the shelves, but the memories are still pretty clear in my mind, especially as I listen to the tracks. Man, how time flies.

There ARE extended jams, but they never reach the point of mindless noodling. "Foghat:LIVE" was the band's commercial and critical pinnacle, and with good reason as this set pretty much defines what this group was all about: flat-out, hard-rockin' blues-boogie.Coming in at under 40 minutes, it was also a tribute to brevity, something that was lacking in most of the 70's-era live albums.

You won't find any filler on this disk as the boys stay tight and focused throughout. Lonesome Dave's voice soars, Rod Price's guitar solos are tight, the rhythm section is in a groove, and the whole thing just comes together right."Foghat:LIVE" is a blistering document of one of the greatest hard rock bands of the 1970's.

Listen to it LOUD.
